HOWA 5K Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to be course attendants, also known as sentries. Sentries play a huge role in the success of our event. They are responsible for ensuring the safety of participants and cheering them on as they pass. Sentries are also responsible for assisting racers with directions and/or questions along the course. Volunteers will need to be at Hospice of West Alabama by 6:30 a.m. to get signed in and transported to their designated spot on the course. It’s an early start, but the event is typically over by 10:30/11:00 a.m.
